GAF projects
Flagship Projects
An amount of R1, 3m was allocated to 10 flagship projects. Flagship projects are projects identified as being meaningful and having an impact on the wider community. The allocation per project ranges from R100 000 – R250 000 per annum.
These projects are monitored carefully to ensure that they grow their infrastructure. It is intended that these projects should become self-sustainable within 3 years.

Bus Flagship
An amount of R490 000 was allocated for Bus Flagship projects. These are projects that focus on educational programmes and require buses on a regular basis in order to make their programmes more effective. An allocation of buses is made to the project in lieu of actual funds.
The Grassroots Bus Adventure Project recently and proudly reached their target of taking a total of one million disadvantaged pre-school children on educational excursions to zoo’s, science centres, the aquarium etc.
